Sales Manager

Verolt Engineering – UK, Germany/Europe



To lead the Sales and Marketing function of Verolt in Europe covering all product categories –

Plastics and other mechanical opportunities, Mechatronics and Automotive Electronics – Hardware Design, Embedded Software and Testing in the Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Body & Security Domains in the Automotive Industry.



  • Graduate and Post Graduate (preferable) in any Engineering domain
  • At least 12 years of hardcore sales, marketing and business development experience in the Engineering Services Outsourcing (ESO) industry – with a significant part of that spent in the European Automotive Industry
  • Robust understanding of Vehicle environment and functions, in particular, Automotive Mechanical parts and E&E Networks and current trends, challenges and opportunity
  • Good understanding of the commercials driving the ESO industry, including both strategic and operating costs
  • A clear understanding of all Automotive industry related compliance requirements for the ESO business
  • Good relations with key stakeholders in the European Automotive Industry with personal credibility
  • Robust understanding of the current trends in the European auto industry, resource and skill challenges, and unique opportunities
  • A very clear understanding of the dynamics of the global ESO environment and India based delivery organization – reasons for success and failure. This will lead to sustainable business strategies


  • Good presentation and reporting skills
  • Proficient in the German language
  • Proven interpersonal and management skills (team builder/player)
  • Availability to travel
  • Knowledge/understanding of Customer quality requirements
  • Knowledge of cost and continuous reduction in all aspects of operating costs


  • BE/ B Tech./ME/ M Tech. in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering/Polymer or
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering/Polymer

Principal Accountabilities

  • Working with Verolt management to map out high-end Engineering Services opportunities covering the entire product range mentioned above, in Europe.
  • Devising detail strategies and tactics to convert the opportunities into customer sales
  • Asses the technical requirement of individual opportunities/projects and help management in planning resources
  • Help build up local sales, program management and technical support teams in Europe
  • Gain a full understanding of the economics of the business and lead and conclude all commercial negotiations with customers
  • Lead and be fully responsible for the front-end delivery of individual projects – including program management
  • Closely liaise with customers during the project lifetime and ensure customer delight
  • Train and develop key skills within the team required (using outside resources when appropriate) to deliver projects within the chosen domain
  • Engage with the ecosystem, in India and overseas to bring in current technical and systems knowledge – to provide leading-edge products and services.

Additional Accountabilities

  • Help the CEO and other customer-facing team and members to make Verolt – Easy To Do Business With (ETDBW)
  • Help develop relationships within customers to improve engagements and help the CEO to device strategies to improve profitability and market share at these customers
  • Develop and deploy methodologies to track all ongoing projects using MIS and develop dashboards for senior management
  • Help the CEO in the development of key human resources
  • The jobholder is expected to behave as an ambassador for the Company
  • Jobholder is expected to contribute to the growth and diversification of the company, including getting into new product areas.
